I’m Tired of Looking Tired

“You look tired today.” If well-meaning friends and family are constantly commenting on your tired appearance, you may need eyelid surgery. Bags under the eyes and puffy, sagging eyelids can cause your face to look tired and worn out, even after a good night’s rest. Wake up your look with an eyelid lift, also known as blepharoplasty. Dr. Dale Abadir has been performing this procedure for over 30 years and can rejuvenate this delicate area with skill. Call today and learn more.

What Is Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic procedure performed on the upper and/or lower eyelids. It can dramatically improve the appearance of the eyes and the surrounding areas by removing bags under the eyes and removing excess skin on the upper eyelids. Some patients opt for blepharoplasty to improve vision loss caused by blockages from eyelid sagging.

Will an Eyelid Lift Remove My Crow’s Feet?

An eyelid lift is a very effective procedure and can dramatically improve your appearance, but it only rejuvenates one specific area, the eyelids. If you want to rejuvenate other areas, we can recommend other treatment options like Thermage, Botox, or laser skin resurfacing. An eyelid lift will not improve:

  • Crow’s feet
  • Dark circles under the eyes
  • Forehead creases
  • Other facial wrinkles

An eyelid lift can:

  • Smooth puffiness and bags under the eyes
  • Correct sagging upper eyelids
  • Remove excess skin from the upper or lower eyelids
  • Improve vision for some patients with sagging upper lids

What Other Treatments Complement Blepharoplasty Results?

An eyelid lift can be performed on its own, but is often paired with complementary cosmetic procedures including a facelift, a brow lift, or laser skin resurfacing. Come in and talk with us about your concerns and we’ll work with you to create a treatment plan that addresses each problem area.

Am I a Good Candidate for an Eyelid Lift?

If you’re thinking about an eyelid lift, come see us to determine if you’re a good candidate. Typically, patients are:

  • Over 35 (or younger with a strong family history of eyelid sagging)
  • In good health
  • Tired of looking tired

Results are long lasting. Patients often enjoy upper blepharoplasty results for 5-7 years and lower blepharoplasty results for a lifetime. Your eyelids will continue to age after surgery.

Refresh your look with blepharoplasty. Call today and schedule your consultation with Dr. Dale Abadir.
