DERMABRASION
This procedure has been performed for several decades. In experienced hands, dermabrasion is one of the most effective means of smoothing many types of post acne; post varicella (chicken pox), and surgical scars of the face.
It is also extremely helpful in removing stubborn, unwanted pigment with long-term results.
Drs. Abadir use the most modern equipment - fine, diamond encrusted, rotating, specially designed tips to obtain the optimal results. A small "test spot" is often helpful so the patient can be sure of healing time and results in his or her particular skin type and problem. Dermabrasion is often used in combination with permanent filling injections and/or excisions in some more severe forms of post acne scarring.
